Taking Control of Your Images:
Monitor Calibration is Easy and Critical

presented by Ken Wilson, American Color Imaging Rep

Monitor calibration is viewed by many as an essential element in creating and producing high quality digital images. Unfortunately, monitor calibration is often misunderstood and/or ignored by many professional photographers. This is unfortunate because without viewing your images on a calibrated monitor, you are handicapping yourself, your work, and your income.

During this program you will learn:

  • The technical reasons why monitor calibration is important
  • How to calibrate a monitor (bring your computer if you like)
  • Setting up your workspace for viewing your monitor and adjusting your images
  • Understanding the importance of a quality monitor and video card for your computer
  • Why your laptop computer isn’t the best choice to use for correcting your files
  • Relationship of monitor calibration and sRGB and RGB (Adobe) color

Register online or contact Marsha Vander Mey at or call 603-759-0062. Limited to 15 attendees. Cost is $10.

To pay at the door, bring cash (exact amount) or check (payable to NHPPA). Please provide 24 hours notice if you are unable to attend or you will be charged for the class fee.
