Portrait Lighting Using Speedlightswith Scott Levine
If you’ve ever wondered how to improve the look of your portraits using only one speedlight, then this program is for you. Scott will illustrate and teach you to understand flash, how and why it works, both on and off the camera. This class is geared to those who are just starting out with flash, as well as those that have been using flash, but want to learn how to use it more effectively. Some of the content to be covered includes:
• How to light and sculpt your subjects with Speedlights
• Settings on your camera
• Settings on your flash
• Flash compensation
• Direction of flash
• Understanding and mastering fill-in flash
• Wireless flash and how TTL flash works
Scott is a 20+ year member of the Professional Photographers of America (PPA) and is also a member of the Professional Photogaphers Association of Massachusetts (PPAM). As the son of a professional photographer, Scott was fascinated with photography at an early age. When Scott was 11, he knew this was to be his life’s work. He spent as much time as possible by his father’s side, observing and learning the craft of photography. By the age of 16, Scott was already photographing portraits in the studio and learning wedding photography.
Scott graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology with a BFA in Illustrative Commercial Photography. Scott attributes his time at RIT for allowing him a fluid transition into the digital age of photography. Scott has also provided technical product evaluation and support for companies such as Kodak, Lumedyne, and Noritsu.
